Cleared Homes (“Cleared Homes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) helps homeowners organize, clear and prepare their homes. This policy explains what information we collect through clearedhomes.com and in the course of our work, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Who this policy covers
Visitors to this site; anyone who submits a form, calls or texts our number, or uses the chat on this site; and clients who engage us, along with the family members, agents, attorneys and other professionals who communicate with us on their behalf.
2. What we collect
What you give us directly. Your name, phone number, email address, the town or address of the property, and whatever you tell us about the situation — through a form on this site, the chat, a phone call, or email.
What we see inside a home. Our work necessarily means seeing a property and its contents. In the course of a job we may handle documents, financial papers, medical paperwork, photographs and personal effects. We treat all of it as confidential. Section 6 covers photographs specifically, because those are the part most people worry about.
Site and device data. Standard web server logs kept by our hosting provider. This site runs no analytics, no advertising trackers and no pixels of its own. The embedded forms and the chat widget set their own cookies — see section 4.
3. How we use it
To answer your questions, quote and schedule work, do the work, keep you updated, invoice you, and keep records we are required to keep. If you ask us to, we may also send you occasional updates. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
4. Forms, chat and cookies
The contact form and the Home Health Check booking form on this site are provided by our customer-relationship and scheduling platform (RevitUp/LeadConnector), as is the chat window. Those embedded tools set cookies and receive what you type into them. Your browser settings control cookies; blocking them may stop the forms or chat from working.
5. Calls, texts and the assistant that answers
Our phone line may be answered by an AI assistant that takes your details and passes them to us. It is an assistant, not a person, and it will say so. What it captures — your name, number, the town, and what you tell it about the job — reaches us the same way a form submission would.
With your consent we may send you appointment reminders and updates by text. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive messages is never a condition of hiring us.
6. Photographs
We photograph our work. Before-and-after pictures are how this trade shows what it does, and they are also how we keep a record of a property as we found it.
We do not publish a photograph of your home without your written permission. That permission is a separate clause in the service agreement, it is optional, and declining it does not change your price or anything else about the job. Where permission is given, we still do not name you, your street or your town alongside the image unless you have specifically agreed to that as well.
7. Who else sees your information
Only the service providers who help us operate: our customer-relationship and scheduling platform, our website host, and our email provider. Each is permitted to use your information only to provide that service to us.
On a job, we may need to coordinate with a hauler, a donation organization, an estate-sale company, a contractor or a cleaner. We share only what that person needs to do their part — typically an address and a scope of work. If a referral came from your real-estate agent or attorney, we will confirm with you before discussing details back to them.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or in connection with a sale of the business.
8. How long we keep it
As long as we need it to serve you, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve any dispute — then we delete it or strip it of anything identifying. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we are required to keep.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
10. Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email using the link in it; reply STOP to any text. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Ask us using the contact details below. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on the request.
11. Children
This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
12. Where we operate
We are based in Maryland and work in the United States. Information you send us is processed here.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. If the change is significant we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, tell you directly.
14. Contact us
